Tip:

When putting our thoughts of our design elements together, and looking for the best options for anyone unsure of what direction they want to go, I find it is great to start with styles that are TIMELESS. Styles that have transcended decades and eras, repeated and reborn over time, time and again, are generally always a safe bet. I will show and explain more of these styles through this process. I just want to try and keep your mind open to this concept of timelessness.

STEP #1:

SELECT: HEADBOARD CONSTRUCTION

Choose:

PANEL Headboard or SHELTER WINGBACK Headboard.

PANEL HEADBOARDS

Panel headboards make up the majority of headboard styles out there. They are usually about 2-5" thick, depending on style. They can vary in greatly in width and height, making them very versatile for different desired applications. Some of the reasons for the Upholstered Panel headboard styles are the go-to style of headboard are listed below:

1. There are countless options of styles and shapes available in the panel headboards. From upholstered wall panels, to extended side headboards and heights reaching 12 feet and higher and wider than 20 feet if needed

2. The Panel Headboard in general can be shaped in virtually any design. From simple to eccentric to modern.

3. Price points can also be lower with a panel headboard, and fit within a tighter budget if needed.

WINGBACK or SHELTER WINGBACK HEADBOARDS

The Shelter Wingback headboard has 'wings' that nestle around the center of the upholstered headboard, giving the sides of the headboard a partially enclosed area. The wings generally project about 9" overall from the back of the headboard and about 5" from the center. Wingback headboards are popular for many reasons:

1. Great for leaning up while reading, and for catching pillows that may want to slide off the corner of the bed.

2. Wings give a more dramatic look than a panel headboard and create a larger and more dimensional focal point

3. Overall, wingbacks have a luxurious and comfortable style.

NOTE: Shelter Wingback Headboards are on average about 7-10" wider than a standard Panel headboard.

addressed or influenced by the headboard. Mattress support will need to be provided by customer, or separate source. You may also choose to have a Wall-Mounted Headboard for maximum space savings.

UPHOLSTERED BED FRAMES

Our upholstered bed frames can either support or surround your mattress and box spring. They are built to match your headboard, and comes with a variety of options to further customize your look.

Standard Bed Frame
Platform Bed Frame

1. A Standard Upholstered Bed Frame supports a mattress and standard box spring. This option includes a furniture leg of your choice. A Platform Bed Frame can be selected, and supports a mattress only, where no box spring is required.

Adjustable Mattress Foundation Bed Frame

2. A Bed Frame for an Adjustable Mattress Foundation can be added. This bed frame will surround your adjustable mattress and foundation and conceal the under workings and

mechanical parts of the adjustable beds. These bed frames are generally built with a little larger opening to allow the bed to move freely up and down without rubbing on the headboard while it operates.

Matching Footboard

3. A Matching Footboard can be added, and is raised up so that it will sit slightly above the top of the mattress. This gives a more finished look, as well as will catch blankets if they tend to fall off the foot of the bed.
